Tag Line - Audience Research

It was very hard to choosing a tag line. We wanted our tag line to be catchy however we cannot reveal the twist whilst writing the tag line, hence we had to think twice on what our tag line will be. Our group came up with some ideas however we couldn't choose the most suitable one. "Run 4 Your Life" was our main one however we had to make a option whether to make this as our title name or out tag line. our choices were:
  1. loosing isn't an option
  2. a gun shot marks the beginning of a race, it can also mark the end of one.
  3. life moves pretty fast...
  4. can you run faster than the bullet
We decided to ask around the media department in our school to which one they think is the best and most suitable to our plot of the short film. We created chart for this:


The majority of our participants claimed that the 2nd option was very good however too long for a tag line, as a tag line has to be short and catchy therefore it received 4 votes. "Life moves pretty fast" received was the one that got the least votes, they fought the other 3 options are better than this one, hence this option got 1 and we made a decision to remove this option from out thoughts as the participants did not like it. the option that received the most votes was "loosing isn't an option", it received an amazing 10 votes which gave us more confidence to use this one as 50% of the participants liked it.
In conclusion, having expand our research by creating a questionnaire for the tag line, we thought that "loosing isn't an option" was the most suitable and best option for our tag line in our short film.
